There are two major underwater hotels in Asia. The foremost underwater hotel is Crescent Hydropolis in Dubai. Dubai is renowned all over the world for its spellbinding architecture. The tallest skyscraper namely the Burj Khalifa was opened on Monday, 4 January 2010 in Dubai. The inaugural ceremony of the building was accompanied by an amazing display of the multicolored fireworks. The total height of the building is around 828 meters which is almost half a mile. Initially known as Burj Dubai the building was later renamed to its current name Burj Khalifa as an honor to Sheik Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, head of the adjacent rich Abu Dhabi emirate.
